Do I profess to know anything about parenting? Nope. But I do know that if I’m not talking hockey to our nephews who are 5 1/2 and almost 8 then I might as well be on mute. I swear it runs in the family.
We don’t get to see them as often as we would like as we’re a 4 hour drive from them. When we are together it’s a lot of, well, hockey. Between the rink, mini-sticks and video games, there’s a whole lotta hockey going on. And let’s face it: while I love the game, I don’t live and breath it like they do.
If I had my way I would be teaching them how to sniff out the best deal at the mall, what to buy on-line and what to avoid, and how to accessorize. Cause the blue & white they cheer clashes with the red, black, white and gold of the best team in the league. Sheesh.
There’s so much more I would tell them too. But I can’t get my husband to have a deep conversation so not sure how I would peg two minis down. So I started to record things that they can watch when they want. Just wee bits of stuff that some day they might be interested in. Like whether I believe in love at first sight or not.
I recorded this on the One Day App. The same app I used a couple of months ago to help capture the little moments. At the time, it was only available for iPhones. Well, I’ve got amazing news: the Android version of the app was released February 2!
So go download this simple, user-friendly app for making cute videos and starting capturing those moments. Once you have created your moment it’s super easy to share via Facebook, Email, Twitter, text message or save the video to your camera roll. Oh, and did I mention it’s FREE?!
Now go make some movies and share the links with the hashtag #OneDay4Android so we can check them out!
Disclosure: I received compensation for writing about the One Day app, but clearly it did not come with an executive producer or hair stylist. That might be my next recommendation to the developers.1
