Supermoon chaser: similar to a storm chaser minus the risk of dying.
What is a supermoon? According to Wikipedia it “is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth.”
According to me “a supermoon is spectacular and worth getting up at ridiculous hours of the night/morning to see”.
They said it was going to be an “extra-special” moon. I’ll let you decide.

I snapped these pics over my hometown, the centre of the universe, Carp, ON (rural Ottawa) with a Canon 70D using the following settings:
- Manual mode
- ISO 200
- f11 apetures
- 1/125 second shutter speed
While my husband thought I was a little cray cray, I’m so glad I actually dragged my ass out of bed.
